Shire Country Services and The Log Company are looking for someone to join our team to assist us with providing our range of countryside services and producing and supplying logs across Yorkshire and the North East.
You will require relevant experience in operating agricultural and plant machinery and must be capable of working alone or as part of a team. Fencing, forestry and grounds maintenance experience will all be beneficial. If you like variety, this is the job for you!
During the winter months our main focus is TheLogCompany.com The successful candidate will be involved in the processing, bagging, drying, delivery and promotion of TheLogCompany.com, as well as further wood fuel related work as the business grows.
During the summer months the focus shifts to delivering the services offered by Shire Country Services. Busiest during the growing season, this type of work will see the candidate operating machinery, primarily small tractors and plant together with a variety of manual work as required.
To be successful in this role you will need to have a practical and common sense approach as well as being personable, passionate about the countryside and focused on delivering a high quality service to our clients.
Since the business was established in 2011 we have built up a strong book of repeat work and custom as well as constantly growing the business through taking on new clients and expanding our range of products and services provided. We are now at a stage where we are looking to build on this foundation by adding to our growing versatile, motivated and hardworking team.
Full valid UK driving license is essential, preferably with trailer entitlement.
Competitive rate of pay and overtime available, depending on experience and qualifications.
